Ever wonder how we monitor your network performance? We use tools from Plixer called Scrutinizer to measure network performance. The reporting tool allows our team to look at networks in a holistic way – instead of focusing on individual routers and switches.

Very few enterprises, much less SMBs, use tools like Scrutinizer to capture process data from flow technologies such as Cisco’s NetFlow and sFlow to help monitor their networks. Architel embraced Plixer to help our technicians to drill down into specific parts of a network including hosts, applications and protocols to determine where problems may occur. We evaluated Solarwinds and NetQos, but Plixer’s solution was far more affordable (less than $50,000).
