Outsourced IT support is very different from outsourced IT management. If your company outsources IT, users must contact an internal resource, frequently the office manager, who must then make a judgment call as to whether to call the IT support company as typical computer support companies have trip charges and minimum billing intervals.
Architel’s outsourced IT management model changes all that. Each individual user can get help right away by using our trouble ticket system or by calling our help desk (214.550.2002). In 2005 Architel developed SimpleTicket, a robust trouble ticket system written using Ruby on Rails. SimpleTicket allows users to create tickets and review their progress as they get resolved by our engineers.
With our model, everyone gets back to work faster and no one needs to make any sort of decision as to which problem warrants a call to the technician. We have released SimpleTicket as an open source software project so clients who outgrow Architel can keep their ticketing system at no additional fee. Architel makes computer support simple!
