Database management isn’t just about keeping the database running, but securing it from unauthorized access. Some of our clients have multivendor, multi-instance databases supporting remote calls from LOTS of users and it is often hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Our clients primarily use SQL and Oracle database systems and our DAM monitors activity in real-time across multiple platforms. Not only are we storing records of activity we are also able to generate reports in real time to report policy violations. DAMs are fairly new and as a result they are really expensive (our appliance cost $35,000 and $5,000 for each database monitored).
