We begin by implementing our monitoring, maintenance and support tools:

  • We deploy our SuperNOC™ monitoring server within the client’s network
  • We load remote control software on each desktop
  • We install a trouble ticket icon on each desktop

Next we assess the health of the network:

  • Network (addresses, name servers, and IP connection)
  • Security systems (firewall, router, and VPN)
  • Back-ups (on-site, off-site, tape and mirrors)
  • Servers (patches, security holes, and service packs)
  • Services (Exchange, IIS, SQL)
  • Infrastructure (routers, switches, and wiring)
  • Desktops (memory, processor, and OS)

Finally we conduct our initial VirtualCIO™ meeting with the business users:
  • Describe and discuss the existing environment
  • Understand requirements of business/users
  • Make recommendations and assessments
  • Develop a quarterly plan with the client
