In 2003 Architel donated stock to EFNT, making a multi-year commitment to philanthropy in North Texas. EFNT promotes and facilitates community involvement and philanthropy for companies, making it easy to give back to the community in a way that’s good for business. Every year, EFNT hosts Freedom Day, a powerful day of community service that was developed to honor the lives lost and changed on September 11, 2001.
Architel is one of the title sponsors for 2010 FightNight, one of North Texas’ largest philanthropic events, created to support The Real Estate Council (TREC) and its good works. Since inception, the event has raised more than $18 million for community initiatives such as Big Thought, Circle of Support, Shared Housing Center, St. Anthony Foundation and Uplift Education. Join us at the Hilton Anatole Hotel on May 6, 2010.
Shortly after the devastating earthquake struck Haiti and destroyed its capital of Port-au-Prince in January 2010, we learned that Sean Gipson — a friend and Dallas neurologist – was headed to Haiti as part of a medical mission to tend to those in need of surgical care. The Architel team provided funds as well as medical supplies, clothing and shoes to support Dr. Gipson’s efforts.
Since its founding in 2008, this monthly gathering has hosted more than 2,500 entrepreneurs, investors and others with an interest in the Dallas-Fort Worth startup scene. On the first Monday of each month, they meet at the ‘building which shall not be named’ High Tech Bar to seek advice, make pitches, evaluate potential investments – and get to know one another. Architel’s goal in sponsoring the event is to ensure that entrepreneurs across North Texas have an opportunity to pursue their dreams.
