Architel hires the Apprentice - Sam Solovey

Mr. Sam Solovey, the wild man who most recently appeared in Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” has been selected to represent Architel® in its latest advertising campaign, “Fire Your Computer Guy”. “When Scott Ryan and Alexander Muse from Architel explained their business model I knew these guys were on to something BIG!” said Mr. Solovey. Sam will appear in radio spots purchased on ABC Radio in the Dallas area.
Architel® founded in 2001 pioneered the concept of fractional ownership as a method for delivering IT support services. The company coined the phrase, “Fractional IT Support™”, whereby Architel® provides a small business owner a complete Fortune 1000 IT support staff for less than the company could hire an entry level computer technician. Thus the small business owner, for a flat monthly rate, can outsource their IT support function completely to Architel®.
The Ad campaign will be delivered in various formats including print, radio, and Internet. The campaign will focus on the tendency of small business owners to put all of their eggs in one basket. “Surprisingly, around 75% of our current clients depended exclusively on the expertise of a single computer support person,” said Alexander Muse, the CEO of Architel®. “With today’s complex computer systems it is unreasonable for a business owner to expect their computer support person to know everything. Most business owners cannot afford to send their support person to continuing education and it is unlikely they have the systems and expertise needed to manage technical resources.”

Architel Names CTO
Architel® today announced the appointment of Michael J. Smedley as the company’s chief technical officer. Smedley will be responsible for developing and executing Architel’s technical strategy as well as working closely with customers and partners to identify key enabling technologies.
Smedley was previously lead architect for Architel’s deployment of its decentralized network monitoring platform and the integration of MightyView. He played a key role in building Architel’s leadership in the delivery of IT services via a fractional ownership model; the company now has more than 49 fractional IT customers. Smedley joined Architel® in 2002 as manager of the network operations center and was involved in software development and product management activities.

Prior to joining Architel®, Smedley was a senior consultant for Houston based VeriCenter for five years and prior to that he was a senior engineer for The Future Now for four years.
